Chinatowns, Chinese neighborhoods around the world
Friday August 30th, 2013
The influence of the Chinese culture, one of the oldest in the world, all over Asia in special, but also the rest of the globe, is undeniable.
From the cuisine to medicine, as well as the martial arts, mithology and philosophy, China's millennial identity is present in the most diverse modern societies.
The Chinese themselves reached the 5 continents, with entire families emigrating between the 19th and 20th centuries to start a new life out of their home country.
Many of these families stayed united, kept their traditions and ended up creating communities that today are small parts of China scattered around the globe.
Known as Chinatowns, the Chinese neighborhoods are present in cities like New York (USA), London (England), Paris (France) and Sydney (Australia), among many others.
If you want to get in touch with the Chinese culture and people but can't travel to China, visiting a Chinatown might be a unique experience!
