If you were invited to live in the coldest place on Earth with all expenses included, would you accept it?
If you live near the beach and love summer… Probably not, right? Maybe not even the biggest fans of winter would accept such a freezing invitation.
Living in the Antarctic is not something common. With a permanent population of zero inhabitants, people who go there go to study and research.
There, the routine may be quite different. For starters, there are no fresh fruits – only canned or dry fruits. However, if you are in a station, there are chefs who prepare meals that are very similar to the ones you’d eat at home.
Accomodations are also comfortable and have central heating. There is a kitchen, offices, bedrooms and labs.
Temperatures vary depending on the season, ranging from -72ºF to 58ºF. To resist the weather, a good physical condition and warm clothes are necessary, in order to maintain the body temperature.
