Another great experience in the Orient Expedition: for the first time, we met a true horse whisperer!

Our friend Rodolpho Ortenblad, photographer and author of the book PutKoi, heard that we were in Uruguay and sent us a message recommending a visit to Maria Noel Angenscheidt’s farm.

Our hostess was a strong woman, with great tenderness in her voice and eyes. She showed us her horses and talked about her taming methods.

Her formula comprises a lot of love, devotion and tranquility. Since she was little, she has always lived with horses and other animals. He majored in Veterinary and after in taming.

When dealing with animals, Maria doesn’t use a whip or any object that may hurt them. She says: “In life, they’ve only given me love. I couldn’t treat them differently, but only give that love back”.

Witnessing Maria stretching their legs and playing with them was very special. There are great respect and harmony between her and these fascinating animals.
